Poverty Simulation - May 9, 2024
Some of you already may be familiar with the Poverty Simulation program presented by the Lakeland Nonprofit and Public Service Center. The poverty simulation is an interactive program that helps to promote poverty awareness.
We’re always looking for volunteers to take the parts of different community members during the simulation. Our next scheduled poverty simulation is May 9 for the Northeast Ohio Regional Library System. Information including a sign-up page and link to read about the different roles may be found here. If you are interested and your schedule permits, please feel free to sign up for any of the open slots.

Learn more about two important organizations!
The Goods Bank offers an opportunity for you to buy supplies for your organizations or client needs for a nominal cost. We would like to bring a group to visit this organization to see if it’s a fit for you! You may be surprised at how this can be an asset to your organization.
Many of you already work with the Cleveland Food Bank. Have you been there to see all they do? We would like to see who would be interested in a visit to both of these locations. We are considering having transportation provided from Lakeland to each location on a designated day in May or June. Please let us know of your interest by completing this form. Development Roundtable meets monthly
However you approach fundraising and development, there’s always something new to learn. The Development Roundtable meets monthly on the campus of Lakeland Community College. This informal group shares resources, opportunities and our collective wisdom to strengthen relationships and increase capacity within the nonprofit and public service sectors in Northeast Ohio.
