Lakeland Community College will hold its 59^th annual commencement ceremony Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10 a.m. in the Athletic and Fitness Center's main gym on campus. The ceremony will also be streaming online at lakelandcc.edu/commencement.

Dr. Sunil Ahuja, president of Lakeland Community College, will deliver opening remarks at the ceremony. Matt Dolan, CEO of Team NEO, will serve as commencement speaker. A veteran of the Ohio General Assembly, Dolan leverages his deep expertise in budget policy and economic development to drive regional competitiveness and strategic investment across Northeast Ohio.

An alumni keynote address will also take place during the ceremony. Graduates will hear fromMichael D. Thomas. Thomas is the senior director for university technology at Case Western Reserve University. Thomas earned his Associate of Arts degree from Lakeland in 1985. He was inducted into the Lakeland Alumni Hall of Fame in 2019 and currently serves as the alumni representative to The Lakeland Foundation Board of Directors.
