Reading and discussion with poet & retired physician Jonathan Graham, M.D.
Dr. Jonathan Graham is the author of two collections of poetry: Everything Waits (Cornerstone Press, 2023) and The Sky Was Always Underground (Sunbury Press, Forthcoming 2024). He was born near the Ohio River and grew up there in a small enclave of immigrant Czech and Slovak coal miners. Drafted into the military and serving first in the medical corps, then later in aviation, he went on to study poetry as a graduate student and then medicine at the University of South Carolina, eventually working as an Emergency Physician for more than thirty years. He will share poetry about his Czech family's immigrant experience in Southeast Ohio.
