The Tortilla and Spanish Culture with Rebeca Monge Hidalgo


Prof. Rebeca Hidalgo is a Spanish and Italian language and culture instructor with extensive experience in higher education. She currently teaches Spanish at John Carroll University and Baldwin Wallace University, where she works as a permanent faculty member, and collaborates with Cuyahoga Community College and Lakeland Community College, teaching both Spanish and Italian. She has also taught at The University of Akron. Originally from Spain, she has more than 20 years of experience teaching language and culture in the United States and Europe. She holds dual five-year degrees in Italian Philology from the Complutense University of Madrid and the Istituto Linguistico di Lingue Moderne di Milano. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish and Italian as a Foreign Language, as well as a postgraduate qualification in online language teaching from the International University of La Rioja. Her teaching focuses on making language learning engaging and accessible by connecting language with culture and everyday life. Traditional Spanish tortilla will be served.
