Experimental Archaeology with Dr. Metin ErenĀ

Dr. Eren founded, and currently co-directs, the Kent State University Experimental Archaeology Laboratory. His research has explored how Paleolithic (Stone Age) technology functions and evolves via a Darwinian system of descent with modification, and how technology helped hominins survive on the landscape, especially during dispersals into new and unknown territory. To date, he has led or conducted research in North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. He received a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University, a Master's from the University of Exeter in the U.K., and a Master's and Ph.D. from Southern Methodist University. He has published extensively.
