Dr. Sunnie Rucker-Chang is the Kenneth E. Naylor Professor of South Slavic Culture at The Ohio State University. In her research, Dr. Rucker-Chang focuses on how literature and film contribute to culture and nationalist identities. She will be joined in her discussion with Lakeland's Prof. Alexander Cox, who born in Croatia and spent most of his childhood in England and Bulgaria. As a professional academic, he also spent a year as a Fulbright Fellow in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria.
