Euclid Art Association members show talents in gallery exhibition

The Euclid Art Association Summer Fine Art Show, an exhibition where members showcase their artworks, is being held now through Sept. 8, 2017, in The Gallery at Lakeland. The gallery is located on the first floor of the D-Building on Lakeland’s main campus, at 7700 Clocktower Dr., Kirtland, Ohio, 44094. All shows are free and open to the public.

This year, 37 members of the Euclid Art Association are displaying pieces in the exhibit. There are 90 works included, representing mediums such as water color, acrylic and oil painting, wood sculpture, mixed media, photography, graphic art, pastel and computer graphics. Eddie Mitchell, who teaches life drawing classes at the college, garnered three awards, including Best in Show.

Many of the works are available for purchase.

About the Euclid Art Association

The Euclid Art Association started in 1958 with only a handful of members. The organization has grown to over 80 artists and art-lovers from all over Northeast Ohio. Each month, member artists or guest artists meet to demonstrate one of the many varied techniques in the field of the fine arts. About the gallery

The Gallery at Lakeland presents seven art exhibitions each year, in addition to an annual Holiday Artists’ Market which benefits the Lakeland Visual Arts Student Exhibition. These exhibitions support and advance recognition of Lakeland’s fine arts academic programs; diversity efforts at the college; community arts groups; local, regional and national artists; as well as local high school all-star artists.
