Lakeland students and members of the community are invited to attend the first-ever Lakeland Literary Student Gala being held Saturday, April 29, starting at 3 p.m. at the Cleveland Public Library Louis Stokes Wing, 525 Superior Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, 44114.
Funded in part by a grant from The Lakeland Foundation, this partnership aims to promote student literary scholarship and connect students and the public with award-winning literary figures. Ron Currie Jr., noted novelist and short story writer, along with poets Wesley Scott McMasters and Amanda Oaks, will be sharing their works through live readings. This event, which is free and open to the public, is a union of art, culture and learning in downtown Cleveland. Light refreshments will also be served.
