Lakeland sponsored job fair is free and open to the public

A wide range of job opportunities will be available at the Lakeland Community College Business & IT Career Fair Tuesday, March 28, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the main campus, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, 44094, in A-Building, room A-2100. The event is free and open to the public.

Job seekers will have the chance to meet many employers face to face all in one day. Participants can submit resumes, speak with the recruiters about their companies, or simply obtain information about careers in business and information technology (IT).

Opportunities will include full-time and part-time jobs and internships in various business and IT occupational areas. Business positions available include: accounting, customer service, financial services, human resources, management, marketing, office administration and sales. IT positions include CRM systems manager, data analyst, Java web developer, network field engineer, software developer, support specialist and more.

More than 25 companies are slated to attend including Cardinal Commerce, DataServ, Dollar Bank, Litigation Management, Inc., Progressive, Sherwin Williams, Speedway, University Hospitals, Verizon and more.

Employers say they are most impressed with career fair attendees who come prepared and:

• Dress like a professional who is ready to do business.
• Bring several resume copies.
• Research the companies to show conscientiousness and knowledge about the organization.
• Rehearse a one-minute "commercial" about their skills, experience and accomplishments that would benefit the company.
