Artist’s market is a holiday tradition that benefits students

The 10th Annual Holiday Artist’s Market will be held in the Lakeland Community College A-Building atrium hallway Nov. 28 and 29, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market provides the opportunity to purchase unique gifts for holiday giving from noted area artists. Proceeds from the sale benefit the Annual Lakeland Community College Visual Arts Student Exhibition.

The atrium hallway is located on the first floor of the A-Building on Lakeland’s campus, at 7700 Clocktower Dr., Kirtland, Ohio, 44094.

Annette Cappelli: mixed metals jewelry

Ro Clarkin: leaded glass jewelry and accessories

Dana Giel-Ray: sterling silver chain maille jewelry

Hannah Metzger: mixed metals and semi-precious stone jewelry

Jane Wiemer: sterling, copper and brass earrings, necklaces and pins

Clay:

Gary Divoky: horsehair fired home furnishings, and functional ceramics

Brigitte Fiorille: thrown and hand-built art pottery, mugs, wind chimes and sculptural tiles

Sandy Miller: functional ceramics and sculptural vessels

Muddsisters: Deborah ‘n Devaney: functional and sculptural ceramics, ocarinas and whistles

Wearables/accessories:

Rosemary Balazs: hand-knit hats and scarves, fabric aprons

Barbara and Steven Bloom: hand-painted silks, soaps and beaded jewelry

Mary Urbas: screen-printed animal motif wearables for infants & children, fabrics and home furnishings

Mixed media and miscellaneous:

Collen Anderson: hand-painted glassware and home furnishings

Sue Berry/Earl James: glass paperweights, tumblers, vases and ornaments

Brian Jackson: mixed media birdhouses, bird feeders, wood kaleidoscopes

Karen Koch: mixed media paintings, journals and home furnishings

Deanne Csepegi Smierciak/Pane in the Glass: stained glass

Betty and Bill Wittlinger: iris folded cards, and wood scroll saw ornaments and accessories

Linda Zolten Wood: mixed media

Blooming Patches Farms: jams & whole grain organic bake goods

There are no admission fees to the market and free parking is available on campus.

About the gallery

The Gallery at Lakeland presents seven art exhibitions each year, in addition to an annual Holiday Artists’ Market which benefits the Lakeland Visual Arts Student Exhibition. These exhibitions support and advance recognition of Lakeland’s fine arts academic programs; diversity efforts at the college; community arts groups; local, regional and national artists; as well as local high school all-star artists.
