Lakeland Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Steven Hardy as its new Vice President for Administrative Services and College Treasurer. Hardy brings nearly two decades of senior leadership experience in higher education finance, administration, and operational management.

In this role, Hardy will provide executive leadership and oversight for the college's financial and administrative operations, working collaboratively with college leadership to strengthen operational excellence and advance Lakeland's mission through responsible financial stewardship.

“Steven's extensive background in higher education finance and administration, coupled with his proven ability to drive strategic initiatives, makes him an outstanding addition to Lakeland's leadership team,” says Sunil Ahuja, Ph.D., President of Lakeland Community College. "His experience managing large-scale budgets, enhancing operational efficiencies, and supporting institutional growth will help position Lakeland for continued success."

Hardy joins Lakeland after serving as Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration at the University of South Carolina Upstate and Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services at Passaic County Community College in Paterson, New Jersey, where he directed financial operations, budgeting, payroll, facilities, and auxiliary services while supporting major institutional planning and capital initiatives.

Throughout his career, Hardy built a reputation for strengthening financial operations, implementing effective controls, leading organizational change, and aligning resources with institutional priorities.
