Lakeland Community College will hold a grand opening celebration for the Workforce and Ventures in Entrepreneurship (WAVE) center, a new space designed to connect technology-based entrepreneurs and small tech companies with coordinated networks of support services, resources, and capital. The event takes place from 3 to 5 p.m. on April 20 in room A-2100 of the A-Building on campus.

WAVE will operate as an Entrepreneurial Service Provider (ESP), integrating deal flow, entrepreneurial assistance and funding opportunities to accelerate growth and success for technology-driven ventures in the community. ESPs help connect emerging businesses to support that can make a difference in a startup’s early stages.

The grand opening will include an official ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the new WAVE space, light refreshments and networking opportunities with leaders and industry partners.
