Lakeland Community College is proud to announce that Emma Veri and Tayjuan Banner have been selected as recent recipients of the Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber of Commer (WWLCC) Student Scholarship program, sponsored by Dollar Bank.

Veri, a College Credit Plus student, is pursuing a double major in chemistry and dental hygiene. Banner is majoring in data analytics. Both are among several November scholarship winners recognized for their academic dedication and potential.

The scholarship award includes both financial support and practical banking resources. In addition to receiving scholarship checks, each student was awarded a free checking account from Dollar Bank, complete with a $50 starting deposit contributed jointly by Dollar Bank and the WWLCC.

Since launching in 2023, the chamber's Student Scholarship Program has awarded more than $60,000 in scholarships to local students pursuing higher education and technical training. The program is open to all students who live in Lake County or attend a Lake County college or trade school. The next application deadline is April 15, 2026.
