Lakeland Community College announces its 2025 Fall concert lineup featuring six civic music ensembles from October through December at the Dr. Wayne D. Rodehorst Performing Arts Center (PAC) in the D-Building.
The Fall season opens with the Lakeland Civic Band performing "Hocus Pocus" at 4 p.m. Oct. 12, directed by Frank Cosenza. The schedule continues with "Beyond All Mortal Dream" by the Lakeland Civic Chorus on Oct. 19, conducted by Ben Richard.
November brings four performances: The Civic Orchestra, directed by Dr. Matthew Saunders, presents "Sounding Together" Nov. 9 at 4 p.m., with a concert preview scheduled for Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Willoughby Hills Public Library. On Nov. 16, Jazz Impact and the Civic Jazz Orchestra perform "Autumn Serenade" under the direction of Ed Michaels and Demetrius Steinmetz. Cosenza returns to lead the Civic Band in "Choose Joy" Nov. 23.
The season concludes in December with three performances: The Civic Flute Choir, directed by Judith Elias, performs "December Joy" Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. The Civic Chorus presents "The Holly and the Ivy" Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. The finale features the Civic Orchestra with Lake Youth Chorus on Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Painesville United Methodist Church, offering free admission.
Tickets are available at lakelandcc.edu/arts, the Cashier's Office, or at the PAC Box Office one hour prior to concerts. General admission is $10, with discounted rates of $8 for alumni, seniors and veterans. Students with ID pay $2, and Lakeland staff receive one free ticket.
Lakeland's six civic music ensembles welcome community members through audition, with five offering college credit. Typically, two years of high school experience on an instrument or voice suffices for participation. Prospective musicians should prepare to sight-read and perform a piece showcasing their skills. Auditions are by appointment. To schedule, contact Matt Saunders at 440-525-7105 or msaunders4@lakelandcc.edu.
