Lakeland Community College’s Veterans Center will host its annual Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. in the S-Building, second floor, on Lakeland’s campus at 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, Ohio. This event is free and open to the public.

The ceremony marks the 24th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and offers an opportunity for the community to gather in tribute. The program will honor the lives lost, recognize the sacrifices made, and reflect on the spirit of unity that continues to resonate across the nation. Guests are invited to join in this collective moment of remembrance, reaffirming the promise to “Never Forget.” Lunch will be provided, while supplies last.

“This commemoration is important. We cannot forget these terrible acts. These attacks reshaped the way we live, travel and see each other,” said S. Rhonda Osagie-Erese, Veterans Center manager at Lakeland. "In reflection, it serves as a reminder of the formidable strength that exists in our community when we work together. I hope we Never Forget that."
