The Lakeland Community College Veterans Center and Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity are hosting two exciting events on Armed Forces Day. The Stars and Strides 5k run/walk and Veterans Resource Fair will be held Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. – Noon.

The resource fair, hosted in H-Building, will feature programs and services available to the veteran community like onsite benefit enrollment for VA Disability and Health Benefits. There will also be Veteran Owned Businesses, Veteran Service Organizations, and more. For runners and walkers, The Stars and Strides 5K is an opportunity to run for you, or in honor of someone special. You can even form a team and run together!

The event is open to the public and all veterans, active duty, military family members, caregivers, providers and community members are encouraged to attend.
