Lakeland Community College announces Health Careers Connect 2024, a three-day virtual event designed to help prospective students explore more than 20 in-demand health care career pathways. The series will run November 18-20, 2024, from 6-6:30 p.m. each day via Webex.
In response to Northeast Ohio's growing health care demands, this discovery event offers guided exploration of various health care programs offered at Lakeland which lead to in-demand careers through three focused sessions:
"We're taking the guesswork out of health care career decisions with this special event," says Regina Prosser, Ph.D., dean for health technologies at Lakeland. "Our program directors will share insights about their fields of expertise and talk about the type of person who thrives in each field, helping prospective students find their perfect fit in health care."
Each 30-minute session is strategically designed to provide concentrated, actionable information about specific health care pathways which range from eight-week certificates to two-year associate degrees. Program directors will outline career opportunities, required skills and industry demand, with particular emphasis on Northeast Ohio's employment landscape.
The event's format recognizes the busy schedules of prospective students, allowing them to attend one or all three sessions based on their interests. Participants will receive detailed information about:
Health Careers Connect 2024 is free and open to everyone interested in health care careers. Even those unable to attend live sessions are encouraged to register for access to follow-up resources and personalized guidance from Lakeland Community College.
