Lakeland Community College is set to host "College to Career: Human Resources," a virtual panel discussion featuring prominent human resources (HR) professionals from Lake Geauga Area SHRM, Thursday, Oct. 24, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. via Webex. The event will show off the diverse career opportunities within the human resources field. Lakeland students and career-seekers from the community are encouraged to attend.
The panel brings together four distinguished HR leaders with varied backgrounds and expertise.
"Human resources has evolved far beyond its traditional role," says Connie Golden, program chair for Lakeland’s Business Management programs. "This panel will give a unique view into HR careers and how they can align with different personalities and interests - from data analytics to employee relations, from startup environments to multinational corporations."
Panelists bring perspectives from diverse industries, including manufacturing, automotive, construction and technology sectors, demonstrating the versatility of HR careers.
The "College to Career: Human Resources" panel is free and open to everyone. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the panelists during a Q&A session.
