Posted: August 28, 2024

Lakeland Community College’s Veterans Center will organize a Patriot Day Remembrance Ceremony Sept. 11, 2024 at 11 a.m. on the second floor of S-Building on campus at 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, Ohio, 44094. This tribute is open to all members of the public and free of charge.

Marking the 23rd anniversary of Sept. 11 attacks, this ceremony aims to honor the lives lost and celebrate the enduring spirit of unity that continues to bind our local and national communities. Attendees are invited to join in this collective moment of remembrance, upholding the solemn promise to “Never Forget” the profound sacrifices made during this tragic event. Light, café-style refreshments will be available while supplies last.

“This annual ceremony serves as a powerful reminder of our shared history and the importance of fostering strong connections with our communities,” says S. Rhonda Osagie-Erese, veterans center manager at Lakeland. “We continue to focus on building these connections between first responders, their families and our community at large.”
