Lakeland Community College’s Career Services Center is helping students and community members land their perfect summer jobs with a part-time and seasonal job fair Wednesday, April 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fair will be held in the A-Building hallway on Lakeland’s campus, located at 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, Ohio, 44094.

The job fair will welcome a wide variety of reputable employers across multiple industries who are actively hiring, including The Mentor Community Recreation Center, HeartCorps, GOODTIME III and The Mentor Parks, Recreation & Public Facilities Department.

“There will be opportunities for all to learn more about the type of work that bests suits their needs and interests,” says Rhonda Butler, Lakeland’s director of career services and employer relations coordinator. “Whether you're a student seeking employment, an area resident looking for a fresh start or simply hoping to earn a little extra cash this summer.”

Butler encourages people of all ages to attend the job fair, as special consideration has been given to employers who hire candidates as young as 16 years old. Some employers are also seeking candidates for paid summer internships.

The event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available. Job fair attendees are encouraged to dress in business casual attire and bring copies of their resumes for employers to review.

In addition to the job fair, Lakeland’s Career Services Center hosts multiple events throughout the year that allow for students and employers to form professional connections. Services offered by the center are available free of charge to Lakeland students and alumni.
