Are you interested in exploring a career in the field of law? Lakeland Community College invites all students and community members to a free Paralegal Panel Discussion, Monday, March 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. on campus, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, Ohio, 44094, inside the T-Building, Room T-137.
The evening includes a meet and greet with graduates of the Lakeland Community College Paralegal Program, ready to talk with attendees about their paths to the paralegal profession. Attending panelists will share their experiences from their Lakeland classes and professional journeys. This is an opportunity to ask questions about career paths, work-life balance and the paralegal field. The event is hosted by Lakeland’s Paralegal Association, a student-led club made up of current students in Lakeland’s Paralegal Program.
With strong job prospects expected to continue over the next decade according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, it's the perfect time to explore a career as a paralegal.
"This panel discussion offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from Lakeland paralegal alumni who are thriving in their careers," said Wendy Smither, coordinator of Lakeland's Paralegal Program. "By inviting our own Lakeland graduates, attendees get a firsthand look at the pathway from education to the workforce. Our faculty will also be on hand to discuss the academic pathways Lakeland provides to launch successful paralegal careers through our degree and certificate programs."
Lakeland’s Paralegal Program is approved by the American Bar Association. Paralegal students at Lakeland learn practical skills needed to enter the legal profession and learn how to leverage the versatile skillsets that make paralegals an integral part of legal teams. Graduates of Lakeland’s program are prepared to work in the field of law and in a wide range of other business and/or corporate settings including finance, health care, human resources, real estate and technology.
