The Lakeland Community College Visual Arts Faculty Exhibition is on display now through Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, in the Gallery at Lakeland, housed inside the D-Building on Lakeland’s campus at 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, Ohio, 44094. An artist reception is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 30, from 7-9 p.m.

The exhibition is an annual show that serves to highlight the creative talents of Lakeland’s visual arts faculty. Many artistic mediums are represented in this year’s diverse collection, including acrylic painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, jewelry/metals, mixed media, weaving and graphic design.

While nearly all past and present exhibitors in the show have been part of Lakeland’s fine arts department, this year, the gallery’s main hallway will feature photographs from Becky Grasser, professor of information technology and computer science (IT&CS) since 2000. Grasser earned her Master of Fine Arts in photography in 2012 and has exhibited in galleries throughout multiple counties. Currently, her work is on display in Stella's Art Gallery in Willoughby.

Most pieces on display are available for purchase through the Arts at Lakeland’s website. The featured artists and their mediums are as follows:

  • Carol Adams: Enamel on copper
  • Christopher Berry: Acrylic painting on canvas
  • Paula Blackman: Ceramic and wood sculpture
  • Yiyun Chen: Photography - archival pigment print
  • Amy D. Copeland (chair of graphic design/photography department): Graphic design; weavings
  • Mark Del Balso: Digital art and mixed media sculpture
