The Nonprofit and Public Service Center at Lakeland Community College is hosting a Grant Proposal Development Workshop, Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Holden University Center located on State Route 306, directly across from the college’s main entrance at 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland.
The nonprofit center is partnering with Candid - an industry leader in nonprofit data, tools and resources - to bring together a panel of local experts that will take attendees on a deep dive into how to write an effective proposal.
Panelists include: Indigo Bishop, program officer at St. Luke’s Foundation of Cleveland; Matt Carter, senior advisor at Grants Plus and Andrew Katusin, program officer at the Cleveland Foundation. David Holmes, education programming manager at Candid, will serve as the panel moderator.
The workshop is being offered in two sessions. The morning session will include the basics of putting an effective grant proposal together. While the afternoon will include refining proposals for specific funders, as well as the unique opportunity to receive peer-to-peer and expert feedback on your proposal in small group sessions.
Attendees may register for the full day or afternoon session. To register, visit the Lakeland Nonprofit and Public Service Centerwebsite. Half day registration is $35, full day registration is $85 and includes lunch. Please contact Jen Smyser at jsmyser@lakelandcc.edu with any questions.
