Lakeland Career Services Center announces virtual workshops for job seekers in the community

As Lake County's unemployment rate continues to grow, the Lakeland Community College Career Services Center will begin offering a series of free, virtual job seeking workshops. Workshops cover a range of topics including resume building and interview skills. Participation is free and open the public and will take place via the Cisco WebEx platform. Each workshop session is limited to 20 participants; registration closes two days before each scheduled workshop. To register, visit https://bit.ly/2ZvfYbQ.

Online Job Searching: Locating Openings and Application Best Practices
Monday, June 1, 4-5 p.m.

Resume Overview and Techniques
Wednesday, June 3, noon – 1 p.m.

Interviewing: What to expect and how to prepare
Wednesday, June 10, noon – 1 p.m.

Additionally, career coaching appointments for resume development and interview preparation are continuing to be offered via WebEx or telephone, Mondays through Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon. To schedule an appointment, job seekers should contact career services at 440.525.7222 or careerservices@lakelandcc.edu. and provide three days and times of availability along with the communication preference of either telephone or video chat. Accommodations will be made upon request, for individuals needing services outside of our departmental hours of operation.
