In an effort to educate the community about the warning signs of mental illness, Lakeland Community College is hosting a free presentation, "Ending the Silence," Tuesday, Feb. 18, from noon to 1 p.m., in room A-2101, 7700 Clocktower Drive.

"Ending the Silence" is an engaging presentation that helps audience members learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions and what steps to take if one suspects he/she or a loved one shows symptoms of a mental health condition.

The program is presented by Anita Crnjac, from the National Alliance of Mental Illness-Lake County.

The program is a part of the college's "Knowledge Exchange" series which are free, one-hour presentations on a variety of topics. Guests are welcome to bring their lunch and listen as the speaker shares their knowledge on a specific topic. No RSVP is necessary.
