2018 Summer Camps

Memorial Day is just a little over a week away! It's time to think about signing up for summer camp! Registrations have been coming in steadily. Don't miss out on these amazing camps that have pleased families for more than 20-years!

College for Kids Day Camp (Grades 1-6)

Send your child to college for the summer! The College for Kids program offers your child an exciting, fun-filled and educational summer with hands-on learning and exploration activities. Areas include computer technology, art, science, creative writing, physical education, outdoor education, American Sign Language and so much more.

The camp fee includes lunch, two daily snacks, field trips (one in each of the 4-week sessions), all instruction and supplies, and before- and after-care.

Instructors are certified teachers and the assistants are college students studying education.

  • Camp starts on Monday, June 11 and ends on Friday, Aug. 3. There will not be any camp on Wednesday, July 4.
  • Drop-off (7:30-9 a.m.) and pick-up (4-6 p.m.) are included in the fees, along with field trips, lunch, two daily snacks and all supplies.
  • When registering, use the grade your child is entering in the fall.

Musical Theater and Production Camp (Grades 5-12)
This year's production is "Madagascar - A Musical Adventure, Jr."

Go behind the scenes and be part of a theater production from start to finish! Each day will be packed with exercises in acting, improvisation, set painting, prop making, musicals and much more. The three-week camp will conclude with an onstage production Friday, July 6, 2018. Participants do not need previous acting or musical experience. However, this camp is designed for children with an interest in theater and acting.
  • Camp starts on Friday, June 15, 2018.
  • The camp fee and supply fee of $50 is due in full at the time of registration,
  • A daily snack, T-shirt and drop off (7:30-9 a.m.) and pick-up (4-6 p.m.) are included in the fee. Campers should bring a lunch, or money to purchase one in Lakeland’s dining hall.

Lake/Geauga Educational Assistance Foundation Camps (Grades 6-8)

If you view the right column of this newsletter, you will see that there are three camps for teens being offered by the Lake/Geauga Educational Assistance Foundation (LEAF). The leaf camps are for children entering grades 6-8 in the fall of 2018, and they will be held on Lakeland’s main campus in Kirtland. All registration and questions about the LEAF camps should be directed to their website or by calling 440.525.7095.
