Discovery Day Comes to Lakeland Oct. 13

Posted: October 4, 2016

As a kid, did you use Legos or blocks to build bridges, castles, houses, planes and cars? Did you find creative ways to invent your own toys and use duct tape for everything? If this sounds like you, join us to discover if you have a future in welding, manufacturing or engineering!

At Discovery Day, with two sessions on Oct. 13 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m, you will have the chance to meet with professors and instructors, talk to current students, learn about job outlooks and get important program information. Lakeland offers programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Aided Design, Network Infrastructure Engineering and Industrial Welding.

Join Lakeland’s Discovery Day on campus in the E-Building lobby and find out if the welding, manufacturing or engineering fields are right for you. This event is free and open to the public, and will provide coffee, pizza and refreshments. If you are not able to attend, contact Sheila Billittier at 440.525.7348 or SBilittier2@lakelandcc.edu for more information.
