Lakeland Community College to host 2023 Northeast Ohio Nonprofit Summit

Lakeland Community College will host the sixth annual Northeast Ohio Nonprofit Summit Friday, March 10, 2023, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Holden University Center located on Route 306, directly across from the college’s main entrance at 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland.

The theme for this year’s summit is “Helping Nonprofits Reach their Peak Performance.” Breakout tracks include Peak Performance, Peak Resource Development, Peak Communications and Peak Leadership & Sustainability. In his keynote address, Bill Stanczykiewicz, Ed.D., senior assistant dean for external relations, clinical associate professor and director of The Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, will discuss current trends in fundraising for nonprofits.

Other topics on the agenda include board ethics, planned giving, employee retention, communication skills and recruiting volunteers. With 15 sessions covering a wide range of topics, there is something for nonprofit professionals, board members and volunteers at every level from all areas of the organization at this year’s event.

“We are excited about the lineup for this year’s summit.?We are bringing together respected colleagues and expert professionals to advance the nonprofit community in Northeast Ohio,” said Amy Sabath, director for Lakeland’s Nonprofit and Public Service Center and government relations. “This year’s summit will allow participants to gain valuable information to take back to their organization, reconnect with their peers and make new contacts.”

Tickets to attend the 2023 Northeast Ohio Nonprofit Summit are $100 per person and include a continental breakfast, boxed lunch and all program materials. The Northeast Ohio Nonprofit Summit is organized by volunteers representing the Fine Arts Association, Lake County Volunteer Network, Lifeline, Leadership Lake County, Signature Health, Geauga Growth Partnership and the Nonprofit and Public Service Center at Lakeland Community College.
