Lakeland is holding a Health Programs Open House Thursday, April 7, from 4-6 p.m. in the health technologies building, on the main college campus, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, 44094. Guests will have access to tour all of Lakeland’s state-of-the-art, hands-on health technologies labs; will be able to speak directly with program directors; and will have access to detailed information on Lakeland’s admissions process, available financial aid and more.
Lakeland’s 20 degree and certificate programs in health care are designed to fill in-demand roles at area hospitals and organizations.
"Lakeland is concerned with the ever-changing local employment scene, so we work closely with advisory committees to ensure our programs are fitting specific needs. These committees work with the college's educational planners to guard against program obsolescence and help interpret industry demands," saysDeborah Hardy, Ed.D., dean for health technologies, associate provost for teaching and learning, and dean of faculty. "Our programs prepare students for various job opportunities that involve working directly with, as well as behind the scenes with computers and software, or in a science or medical lab."
