Posted: December 14, 2021

Lakeland Community College announces the 29th annual Woman of Achievement Awards will be held Sunday, March 13, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the Dr. Wayne L. Rodehorst Performing Arts Center on the main campus, 7700 Clocktower Drive, Kirtland, OH 44094. Nominations are being accepted through Jan. 7, 2022.

Nominees for the 2022 program, titled “Leading with Light,” are those in the community who have continued providing selfless service to others through the current pandemic. Teachers, medical professionals, those who kept food on our tables, social workers, business owners, parents and every essential woman in between will be eligible to receive honors in the upcoming ceremony.

Gloria Lane, manager of the Lakeland Women’s Center, says, “We would like to recognize women who were front-line workers and first responders during the pandemic, who despite their own concerns, held a light and made things better for others.”

To submit a nomination, write a letter, about one full-page in length, telling the nominee’s story, describing how she exemplifies the theme of “Leading with Light,” and how she has had a positive impact on others or the community as a whole. Include the full name and contact information of your nominee, as well as your own contact information. Nominees do not need to be well known, they simply need to be known to you and should live or work in Lake County.

Nomination letters can be submitted to Gloria Lane by email at glane@lakelandcc.edu or by mail to Gloria Lane, Women’s Center at Lakeland Community College, 7700, Clocktower Drive, Room C-1076, Kirtland, OH 44094. For more information, contact Gloria Lane at glane@lakelandcc.edu or 440.525.7436.
