Free and open to everyone, "Outside the Mirror" is a production developed through a 20-year collaboration between Cleveland Public Theatre and Y-Haven Transitional Housing, a treatment facility for formerly homeless men recovering from substance abuse and mental health challenges.
A mysterious salesman disrupts the lives of two men, a small business owner and his right hand man, with an opportunity to glimpse their future. "Outside the Mirror" questions our ability to see the consequences of our choices and whether our future is decided by actions of today or set by fate.
The Y-Haven Theatre Project is a 20-year partnership between Cleveland Public Theatre and Y-Haven, a branch of the Greater Cleveland YMCA. Every year, CPT collaborates with the clients of Y-Haven to create an original theatre production, performed by the men and based on their life stories. The Y-Haven Theatre Project captures an authenticity and emotional power as the cast shares their true-to-life experiences often hidden from the world.
